We have noticed one of the biggest problems within our community is homelesness.

Caboolture Community Care is currently putting together a list of homelessness organisations and outreach centres within the community all the way to Brisbane that may be useful and help our clients and those within the community

Please bare with us whilst we put this list together as it is a lot of research and a little time consuming. We want to gather as much information as we can to better help those in the community, so it may take us a week or two to get the list together.

Do you ever feel down, overwhelmed or that you have no-one to talk to? Do you feel as though no-one listens and that you are all alone with your thoughts and feelings?

Sometimes things just catch up to us and we need someone to talk to, or you feel it isn’t within your budget to seek out help and speak to someone.

Caboolture Community Care Counselling Service can help. Our dedicated counsellor focuses on his client’s needs, desires and emotions to help encourage them to move in the direction they choose.

Our counsellor is available Monday- Friday by appointment from 9am – 2pm and all it costs is a gold coin donation.

Caboolture Community Care Inc has taken a step forward in how we conduct our service!!!! ???

We have had a number of clients ask to email through their income statements of late to which we have had to say no.

NOT ANYMORE!!! ???

from now clients will be able to email us through digital copies of their income statements even before they arrive at the centre.

This saves a build up of paper within our organisation and makes things a little easier on our clients as now they won’t have to go down to the local Centrelink office.

We have even set up a guest wifi for those clients who find themselves without data to email their statements through (you will need to ask our reception team for the details when you come in)

For those who sometimes struggle with the digital age don’t stress!! You are still able to collect a hard copy of your income statement if you so wish.

George Street Community Place is today hosting Footprints in Brisbane Incorporated. They will be on premises every Wednesday from 12.30pm – 2pm for the community to access.

They have an operational laundry and two full size showers for those who do not have access to those services and are homeless.

If you are homeless and want a shower, a place to wash your clothes or just hang out and chat then feel free to come to 9 George Street Caboolture to access Footprints facilities.

We would like to thank OzHarvest for our partnership with OzHarvest Brisbane and their support for those in the community. We received a massive delivery yesterday and have been able to make some giant hampers to help out families.

Caboolture Community Care Inc is RUNNING A COMPETITION!! ?

We know how hard it is to make a dollar spread especially if you have a family. And we know that sometimes money is tight and you are stuck making basic staple meals for dinner. SO WE ARE REACHING OUT TO THE COMMUNITY! ?

We are asking for your best recipes that you have have created with a budget of $35 or under that we can put together and share with the community to help each other out and maybe give us something different to create in the kitchen.

We will be doing a weekly recipe post on our Facebook and Instagram pages as well as having printed out versions on offer within our centre for anyone who would be interested in trying these creations.

All you need to do is like our Facebook or Instagram pages and message us through your recipes. Its that easy! ?

Everyone who sends in a recipe that is under out $35 limit will automatically go into the draw to win a share of K-Mart gift cards we have on offer!!!

Letters of Hope is a non for profit project that offers hand written letters with words hope and kindness to anyone who may be struggling, feeling a little low or just wants to read something nice when they feel like they are all alone.

The aim is to help raise awareness around mental health and offering up some kindness within the community.

The ABC is looking at filming a segment on the effect of Poverty, Homelessness and Inequality and may have some questions about the effect of Coronavirus on people’s lives and wellbeing.
